《Christmas On Mars》是Flaming Lips主唱Wayne Coyne首度担任导演的电影作品，耗时7年，搭景全部在Wayne自家后院完成。早在2001年，此部电影的整体概念便已成型，直到2008年一切才尘埃落定，五月即在Sasquatch!音乐节举行首映。
这部科幻片叙述的是一名少校Syrtis(吉他手Steven Drozd饰演)与其团队(其中演员包括贝斯手Michael Ivins)将庆祝第一位在火星诞生的新生儿、并同时是地球人殖民火星后的第一个圣诞节，而此时火星上设立的旧氧气制造机与地心引力平衡机突然面临故障，使少校Syrtis与其团队因此产生幻觉，陆续遭遇不好的事情，圣诞老人也惊传自杀的不幸消息。这时有位乔装成圣诞老人的慈悲火星人(Wayne饰演)前来帮助无助的Syrtis。
电影配乐当然也是由The Flaming Lips包办，Wayne在02年就开始谱写，将太空的虚幻飘渺与神秘幻化为音符乐曲，创造出宇宙浩瀚的气势。强烈推荐，看完电影别忘了再好好听听OST。

当做入秋礼物送给大家。Explosiosn Tn the Sky不喜欢GY!BE，但这两团都爱The Microphones。
Microphones的音乐是乱做的，过份Lo-Fi的音响效果，主唱有点随意且不合拍，音乱飘的唱着有意无意的歌词。虽然大部份都听不懂(根本找不到歌词)，不过每个声音却都是那样的揪心，就像行车时车窗外快速经过的一幅幅的画面，你总是不曾记得你看见了什么，但是当你撑着下巴漫无目地的看着的过程中，却为自己带来了庞大现实的孤独感。
