背景：

故事发生在一个被人类殖民，称为Sera的行星上。数十年间，数个国家因为一种流体物质“Imulsion”而展开战争，最后由维安政府联盟控制了整个星球并结束了这场战役。接着“事变日”（Emergence Day）爆发了，一群透过地底通道网络移动的兽族从此出现。政府联盟无法抵御兽族的攻击，兽族在24小时内控制了整个星球上的重要城市、军事武器和制造中心。联盟命令所有的生还者到一个尚未被攻击，名为贾辛图高原（Jacinto Plateau）的辟护所，那里有坚守的花岗岩。然后发射轨道雷射武器(黎明之锤)来消灭兽族，而无法到达辟护所的人类，在此成为了牺牲品。在事变日的14年后，兽族仍然持续攻击贾辛图高原，试图减弱联盟的势力。由于盟军军队短缺，只好将老弱残兵全部号召入伍战斗。

1-6册为忠实游戏原作的《Hollow》系列，第7本讲述了队伍中一名战士TAI的故事。漫画预计发布10本，而《战争机器：艾斯方战役》中文小说预定7月7日上市；《战争机器》电影预定2010年首映。

全篇没有任何对话，只有在每章节末尾加入的零散诗句（外文看不懂，但我想那应该很美）。《Noé》是一部不可多得的佳作，大到奇异的世界背景设定，人物与情节之间的意外串联，小到每个分镜头刻画都十分出色。这本小册子最让我赞叹的地方在于作者赋予每样事物每个细节的意义，都能使读者通过阅读产生对它们的想象，来形成自己的观点，比如那只诺亚后背挂着丢失指针的时钟…等等。有网友形容这本漫画“后摇一般”，也确有道理。
